October 24 , 2023 – Mouser Electronics, a well-known New Product Introduction (NPI) agent focused on driving innovation in the industry, is now shipping NXP Semiconductors’ new S32G3 connected car reference design . This highly optimized integrated circuit board features the S32G3 automotive network processor and provides a reference for various automotive applications such as automotive service-based gateways (SoG), domain controllers, automotive black boxes for data logging, and for advanced driver assistance System (ADAS) and safety inspection of autonomous driving, etc. The S32G3 connected car reference design supports basic automotive functions including over-the-air firmware upgrades (FOTA), in-vehicle access points, in-vehicle computing and regional gateways.
The NXP S32G3 connected car reference design, available from Mouser, uses eight Arm® Cortex®-A53 cores (optional cluster lockstep) and four dual-core lockstep Arm® Cortex-M7® cores to provide high-performance computing. Featuring 18 CAN/CAN FD and 12 Ethernet ports, this reference design delivers real-time network performance, gigabit packet acceleration and security, and rich input/output (I/O). The board is very efficient and supports low-power modes and multiple wake-up sources. Additionally, there are two M.2 slots and a PCIe slot for expansion options.
NXP S32G Automotive Integration Platform (GoldVIP) provides designers with an automotive reference integration platform that accelerates hardware evaluation, software development and prototyping of next-generation automotive solutions. GoldVIP provides out-of-the-box open source software components and third-party software integration on top of the S32G software ecosystem, comes with example applications, and accelerates AUTOSAR™ and Linux® development. This platform demonstrates the key features of the S32G hardware accelerator through demonstration use cases, rapid deployment and visualization tools.
