On August 28, according to the Shanghai Municipal Communications Administration Bureau, two group standards including "5G Network Planning, Construction and Acceptance Requirements to Support High-Level Autonomous Driving" and "5G Network Performance Requirements to Support High-Level Autonomous Driving" were officially released recently. Implementation.

According to the official announcement, this is the first 5G network performance and construction acceptance standard in China that supports high-level autonomous driving, filling the gap in corresponding standards at home and abroad. These two standards were guided by the Shanghai Municipal Traffic Management Bureau, co-written by more than 20 standard drafting units led by Shanghai Mobile and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and officially released and implemented by the Shanghai Internet of Vehicles Association.

The project "Performance and Construction Acceptance of 5G Internet of Vehicles Networks Supporting High-Level Autonomous Driving" was launched on March 31st. It will be closed for preparation and the first draft will be completed from May 31st to June 2nd, and expert review will be conducted from June 20th to 21st. , On August 14, the Shanghai Internet of Vehicles Association held a standard technical review meeting, which was unanimously approved by the experts attending the meeting.

Officials stated that the release of the group standard “is not only the end point of the compilation of the two standards, but also the starting point of the standardization of 5G Internet of Vehicles.” At present, the leading area for intelligent connected vehicle innovation in the Lingang New Area has clearly defined the high-quality construction of a 5G connected vehicle dedicated network that supports high-level autonomous driving in accordance with two 5G connected vehicle standards.
