● Complete vision system for the first time on the market
● Integration of interior and exterior mirrors, cameras, electronics and software
● Launched in Ford Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty pickup trucks
Recently, Magna's advanced ClearView™ vision technology has been put into production for the first time on the Ford Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty pickup trucks. The technology is designed to make vehicles smarter and safer. The system is unique in that it combines camera and mirror technology to reduce blind spot accidents and improve safety by improving visibility around the vehicle. Other ClearView™ features include making it easier to park and maneuver your vehicle.
The ClearView™ system includes an interior rearview video mirror, camera-integrated exterior mirrors and a center high-mounted brake light camera. Attach an optional trailer camera to provide an unobstructed view while towing. All camera data is processed in the central electronic control unit (ECU) via Magna's software.

The interior rearview mirror uses Magna’s PACE Award-winning Infinity™ glass and features an elegant design. The driver can switch between an optical rearview mirror and a video display that displays feeds from three cameras simultaneously - a first of its kind on the market.
“ClearView™ demonstrates Magna’s unparalleled ability to leverage its breadth of capabilities and expertise to provide consumers with comprehensive System Solutions. Unique collaboration capabilities combine Magna’s industry-leading vision-based expertise with mirroring capabilities to create advanced technologies that promote safe driving and provide drivers with more information about their surroundings in a timely manner.”
The ClearView™ interior rearview mirror display also includes other customizable features, including zooming in and out, adjusting brightness, rotating the image, or moving the image up, down, left, or right.
