Description of the program:
The central body control module ( BCM ) is the backbone system for vehicle body functions such as interior and exterior lighting, security systems and access control, door and seat comfort adjustment and other convenience control functions. Freescale's industry-leading portfolio includes 32-bit Power Architecture-based and 16-bit S12-based MCU families specifically designed to meet the needs of various BCM applications. In terms of system support, we provide signal conditioning, MOSFET pre-drivers, source monitors or LED drivers to replace switches. SBCs combine voltage regulators with CAN or LIN physical interfaces in a single package. H-bridge drivers and a range of high-side switches (eXtreme switches) support high-current loads and replace relays. Gateways can be used as information interfaces between various in-vehicle communication networks, including Ethernet, FlexRay, CAN, LIN and MOST? protocols. At the same time, they can also serve as the central diagnostic interface of the vehicle. The gateway function can be integrated in the central BCM or as a separate ECU. Freescale 's 32-bit single-core or dual-core MCUs based on Power Architecture provide the necessary computing performance, memory expansion and communication interfaces.
