“This investment will enable us to meet the market’s urgent need for innovative solutions that increase supply chain visibility and efficiency, and improve the driver experience,” said Jack Kennedy, co-founder and CEO of Platform Science. “Our platform breaks down supply chain barriers and provides developers with the connections to deploy innovative solutions at scale.”

David Boriss, Director of SoftBank Investment Advisory, said: "Logistics is the backbone of the global economy, but most of its fleets are still supported by highly fragmented legacy software. We believe that Platform Science is the first company to create a unified hardware solution and software operating system platform. We are very excited to work with Jack Kennedy and his team to make transportation intelligence power future fleet operations." After this round of financing, Boriss will join the Platform Science board of directors.

Recently, Platform Science also launched Virtual VehicleTM, developed in cooperation with Daimler Truck North America. Virtual Vehicle is the first open OEM platform that enables fleets to access telematics, software solutions, real-time vehicle data and third-party applications directly from the vehicle. In addition, Platform Science also cooperates with many leading operators, including Schneider National, logistics and transportation companies Werner Enterprises and US Xpress, as well as technology leaders such as Drivewyze, Samsung and Great Dane.
