Recently, Zeekr officially released the real photos of Zeekr 001 EC light-sensitive skylight. It is reported that the electrochromic material used in Zeekr 001 EC light-sensitive skylight is a new functional material with a wide range of uses in national defense, information, electronics, energy and construction.
Zeekr 001 EC Light-sensitive Skylight
Electrochromism refers to the phenomenon that the optical properties of a material (reflectivity, transmittance, absorptivity, etc.) undergo stable and reversible color changes under the action of an external electric field, which manifests itself in appearance as reversible changes in color and transparency.
The development history of electrochromic glass technology is as follows. It is worth mentioning that the latest skylights in the industry that can meet the standards for mass production are all blue.
First generation: Violet technology (representative products: Boeing 787 aircraft windows, Ferrari Superamerica convertible sports car)
Second generation: Inorganic non-metallic material technology (representative product: smart architectural glass)
Third generation: Thin-film electrochromic technology (representative product: ZEEKR 001 EC light-sensitive skylight)
The color-changing glass of the aircraft window is also blue
Compared with previous technologies, the flexible film technology of the Zeekr 001 EC light-sensitive skylight, which adopts the latest generation of electrochromic technology, allows the maximum width of the glass to reach 1.6m, and the dimming process changes gently, allowing the human eye to have enough buffer time to adapt to the light; at the same time, it also has leading features such as low haze value, ultra-wide color change range, low energy consumption, stepless adjustment, low operating voltage and high weather resistance, making it safer and more reliable when used in automotive products.
The EC light-sensitive skylight equipped in Zeekr 001 is transparent under normal conditions. When it changes color, the glass is blue. It has a UV blocking rate of up to 99.9%, an SPF sun protection factor of 50, and a transmittance of less than 6% for long-wave dark spot effect ultraviolet rays UVA (wavelength 320 to 420nm). The protection effect can reach PA++++ level.
The EC light-sensitive skylight selected by Zeekr 001 has an operating temperature range of -20℃ ~ 90℃. In terms of operating voltage, compared with other materials with operating voltages of dozens or hundreds of volts, the operating voltage of the EC light-sensitive skylight of Zeekr 001 is only ≤1.5V. At the same time, the EC light-sensitive skylight has undergone 100,000 extreme durability cycle tests, covering the entire life cycle of the product.
