ERLANGEN, Germany, November 17, 2020 – Elektrobit (EB),  a global supplier of visionary embedded and connected software products for the automotive industry, today announced that EB corbos AdaptiveCore 2 software now supports the BlackBerry QNX Software Development Platform 7.1 ® for building high-performance computing (HPC)-based automotive architectures. The best-in-class implementation of EB’s AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform combined with the ISO 26262 ASIL D-certified BlackBerry QNX OS and Hypervisor technology provides automakers and Tier 1 suppliers with a complete, pre-integrated foundation for developing vehicle electronic control units (ECUs) that meet cybersecurity requirements and have the highest functional safety levels. Both products are available now.

This extension of the long-term partnership between the two companies is designed to make it easier for automakers and Tier 1 suppliers to develop advanced features related to autonomous driving and reduce the overall time to market. EB corbos AdaptiveCore 2 software seamlessly integrates with the QNX ® Neutrino ® real-time operating system (RTOS) to provide an architectural foundation that meets the highest automotive safety standards.


EB corbos AdaptiveCore 2 is the basic software for running Adaptive AUTOSAR. Designed as a safety unit out of a cell (SEooC), it is the core technology for creating functionally safe, secure, flexible, updatable, and high-performance ECUs. The software provides a holistic software framework based on the Adaptive AUTOSAR standard.
