Deformation intermittent oscillator
The disadvantage of the above-mentioned frequency stabilization circuit is that it is relatively complicated. If the parameters of the oscillation transformer and its components are highly discrete, the debugging work is also troublesome, which is not conducive to mass production. At present, the horizontal oscillators of most discrete component televisions use deformed intermittent oscillators, which have the advantages of simple circuit structure and high frequency stability.
Figure 8-12 is a typical circuit of a deformed intermittent oscillator. The horizontal oscillation coil L is an autotransformer wound on a plastic frame. The transformer core is a threaded core made of ferrite material. The plastic adjustment rod inserted in the square hole of the core can be rotated to move the position of the core in the coil, which plays a role in changing the inductance of the coil. The coil windings L1 and L2 are 400-500 turns and 200-300 turns respectively.

The base bias voltage is supplied by EC through R6, R7, VD, R5, and R4. The error voltage EAFC from the phase detector is also added to the base to control the oscillator. C2 is a frequency stabilizing capacitor. The working principle of the deformed intermittent oscillator is not introduced in detail, and its working waveform is only shown in Figure 8-13.
