In communication, automatic control and telemetry systems, low distortion automatic gain control circuits are required. As shown in the figure, a low distortion AGC amplifier is shown. A1 is an amplifier, and A2 is a voltage follower, which acts as an isolation stage and introduces feedback to amplifier A1. The integrated operational amplifier in (a) can be appropriately selected according to actual needs. If a single power supply is desired, a low power quad operational amplifier circuit AD824A or AD824B can be selected; if a dual power supply is desired, a quad operational amplifier integrated chip such as μPC4074 can be used.

Switched Gain Op Amp as Phase Detector or Mixer
Some op amps, such as the AD8041 from Analog Devices and the EL5100 from Intersil, offer a disable pin that allows one to connect the outputs of several op amps in parallel for video multiplexing. In addition to such multiplexing, one can use this disable feature to configure the op amp as a phase detector or mixer.

Characteristics of Operational Amplifiers
Assume that a voltage ud =u+-u- is applied between a and b, then the transfer characteristic curve between output uo and input ud is as follows: Divided into three regions: ① Linear working area: -ε |ud| ε, then uo=Aud ② Forward saturation area: ud ε, then uo= Usat ③ Reverse saturation area: ud - ε, then uo= -Us

A sample-and-hold amplifier with a gain of 2 and no external resistors
When you need to sample a signal and amplify it at the same time, you can cascade a general-purpose sample-and-hold amplifier with a gain of 1 and an amplifier with a voltage gain of 1. With some exceptions, such an amplifier has two external resistors (Reference 1). These resistors dissipate power even when the sam

Spread-spectrum modulation minimizes EMI in Class D amplifiers
introduction Class D amplifiers are more attractive to designers of portable audio applications because they are more efficient than Class AB amplifiers. However, some designers do not use Class D amplifiers in portable applications because traditional PWM-based Class D amplifiers require large and expensive filteri
