The DS1775 digital thermometer and thermostat is available in a small 5-pin SOT23 package with ±2°C accuracy over the -10°C to +85°C temperature range. The thermometer data is in 2's complement format with 9 to 12 bits of resolution (user programmable) and is read out over a 2-wire serial bus. The DS1775 has 8 different hardware wiring addresses, allowing up to 8 DS1775 devices to operate on the same bus. The 8 types of DS1775 are:

The DS1775 provides a thermostat function with user-programmable overtemperature (TOS) and undertemperature (THYST) thresholds stored in on-chip SRAM. The two thresholds provide programmable thermostat hysteresis: When the measured temperature exceeds TOS, the thermostat output is active and remains active until the measured temperature drops below THYST.

The DS1775 is functionally compatible with the DS75 and LM75.
