Development Board Assembly
1 Console serial port
Use a serial cable to connect the development board's CON3 to the PC's serial port. If your PC or laptop does not have a serial port, you need to prepare
Prepare a USB to serial device.
The iTOP-6818 development board has two serial ports, of which CON3 is used as the system debugging serial port
2 Screen connection
From the appearance, the development board has 2 HDMI interfaces, but in fact only one of them can be connected to the HDMI display.
The larger HDMI-A port (the port in the red box in the above picture) can only be connected to a 7-inch screen or
The 9.7-inch screen has a 5V (or 3.3V) power supply inside, which must not be connected to the HDMI display. Using the HDMI cable provided by Xunwei is foolproof and will not be connected incorrectly. Before the user understands the signal, do not use the HDMI cable you purchased without authorization!
The smaller HDMI (the connector in the brown box in the picture above) is a standard HDMI-C connector (not an international standard,
However, it is used in many electrical devices and is an HDMI interface defined by Japan's SONY company. You can search on Baidu for details). It is recommended to use our company's C-port to A-port HDMI cable for connection.
In addition to using HDMI cable to connect to the screen, iTOP-4418 All-in-One can also use the soft cable we usually use to connect to the screen.
The flexible cable on the bottom board is connected to the terminal in the green box.
Capacitive touch screen connection
The iTOP-6818 development board can support 4.3-inch screen, 5-inch screen, 7-inch RGB screen, 7 LVDS-inch or 9.7-inch, 10.1-inch screen. You can use the LVDS-LCD interface or use a flexible cable to connect. The flexible cable should be connected with the metal contact side facing down.
To connect a 7 LVDS inch or 9.7 inch, 10.1 inch screen, you can use the HDMI cable provided by our company to connect through the "large HDMI interface" on the development board or use a flexible cable to connect through the 30-pin socket on the development board. Note that the 30-pin socket on the board is a "flip-top" and the metal contacts of the flexible cable are facing downward.
3 Display (HDMI) connection
Use the HDMI cable provided by our company to connect the HDMI-C port on the bottom panel to the HDMI-A port on the monitor.
Be sure to use the HDMI cable provided by our company!
If you use a computer monitor with an HDMI interface, there is no touch function, so you need to connect a USB mouse and
Keyboard. The USB interface on the bottom board is the same as that on the computer, and the kernel has its own driver. At the same time, if you buy our LCD screen, you can also connect a USB mouse and keyboard, and the touch and mouse and keyboard will be effective at the same time.
2.1.3 Power supply connection
Please use the 5V power supply that comes with the development board to connect to the POWER socket of the development board, and you can start running after powering on.
