According to Arm’s third quarter report for fiscal year 2022, total quarterly revenue reached US$746 million, a year-on-year increase of 28%.

Arm partners' quarterly shipments of chips based on the Arm architecture reached a record high of 8 billion units, pushing cumulative shipments to more than 250 billion units. Adjusted EBITDA was US$450 million. Adjusted EBITDA margins exceeded 50%. Licensing Revenue reached $300 million (up 65% year-over-year), including new agreements with four important customers (automakers, cloud service providers, industry-leading microcontroller manufacturers, and consumer electronics semiconductor suppliers) long-term strategic cooperation agreement.

Royalty revenue reached US$446 million (a year-on-year increase of 12%). This was partly due to the strong market demand for Arm-based server technology and automotive chips. At the same time, the demand for Armv9 processor technology in the high-end smartphone and cloud server application markets also increased. The bullish outlook continues with strong double- or triple-digit revenue growth across all target segments, including automotive, terminals (consumer electronics), infrastructure and IoT.

Rene Haas, CEO of Arm, said: Having served as CEO of Arm for nearly a year, I am extremely grateful to everyone in our team, partners, and ecosystem for their contributions as we define the future of computing. As up to 250 billion chips based on the Arm architecture are changing the world, we are bound to continue to exert greater influence in order to change the world again. Global data centers, Internet of Things systems, automobiles, and new generation consumer terminals all require increasingly energy-efficient computing capabilities, which has created long-term market demand for Arm technology and innovation. These strong results demonstrate the hard work of every team and their continued efforts to build the future with Arm technology.
