Beijing, China, May 28, 2024 - Beijing Zhongsheng New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhongsheng New Energy), a system integration company specializing in testing, measurement, and control, has launched several cooling solutions for applications such as charging and battery swap stations. Among them, the charging and battery swap station cooling solution includes the Star series cooling system tailored for fast charging piles and the Spark series cooling system tailored for battery swap stations.


Fast charging cable cooling solution


The integrated cooling unit of the super-charging pile liquid cooling can flexibly adapt to various media provided by different liquid pump suppliers, including ethylene glycol, oil and Novec liquid, and can meet various flow and head requirements. Adaptability can be ensured by heat exchangers of various shapes and sizes that match the reserved space. The system gives priority to leak-free gear pumps and magnetic pumps, and is equipped with speed-controlled fans, stainless steel water tanks and stainless steel piping components to ensure the stability and durability of the system.


Users can choose passive cooling (including air-medium or water-water) or active cooling (using refrigeration compressor) solutions according to actual needs, and can choose thermal management control system to achieve more precise temperature control. In addition, dual-gun cooling and single-gun cooling options support high-power operation of two guns and one gun at a time, respectively, to meet charging needs in different scenarios.

Super charging terminal liquid cooling system


The liquid-cooled central cooling unit of the super charging pile consists of two parts: the cable cooling module and the central cooling unit. The cable cooling module is integrated inside the fast charging pile and is effectively cooled with the help of an external chiller. Its cooling capacity demand can be customized according to actual conditions. The central cooling unit uses a central chiller with active cooling technology. Its cooling capacity can be flexibly adjusted according to the number of fast charging piles, local climate conditions and on-site layout. The cooling capacity ranges from 2kW to 50kW, and different dimensions can be customized according to customer needs.

In addition, for the development and testing of gun lines, we can customize the super-charging pile liquid-cooled gun line test equipment, with an ultra-wide adjustable liquid supply temperature range of 0-50℃, precise liquid supply flow setting function, and accurate supply and return liquid temperature and pressure monitoring. The equipment is simple and convenient to operate, and can easily save and export operating data, providing convenience for users' later data analysis.

Cooling solution for battery swap stations


The centralized cooling method can provide refined thermal management for 5-20 batteries. The solution is equipped with two or more cooling circuits to achieve hierarchical adjustment and set up as one standby and one for use to ensure stable operation. The solution not only supports dual-temperature liquid supply, but also introduces a heat recovery system to further improve energy efficiency. Using 50% ethylene glycol aqueous solution as coolant is both environmentally friendly and efficient. The entire cooling solution is tailored to the internal space and size of the battery swap station, and a variable frequency water pump is used to flexibly meet the flow requirements under various working conditions. The compressor and fan can be selected in high-speed or variable frequency mode, and the efficiency ratio (EER) of the refrigeration system is as high as 3.0 or more. In addition, the system communicates with the client host computer in real time, supports remote monitoring and FOTA cloud upgrades, and the design is fully compliant with CE standards, showing the perfect combination of advanced technology and safety.

The distributed cooling system of the battery swap station can be customized according to the internal space. Every two battery packs share one system to improve economy, and it has dual functions of heating and cooling. Each cooling system operates independently without interfering with each other, and has a strong backup to ensure the stable operation of the battery swap station.

The system can also accurately control the temperature of a single battery pack, simplify vehicle-side maintenance and save coolant. The system is flexible in design, requiring only hose connections, no water distribution components, and supports modular replacement of FRUs on site for easy maintenance. The intelligent speed-regulating water pump meets the flow requirements under various working conditions, while the efficient cooling solution ensures EER ≥ 3.0. In addition, the system communicates with the client host computer in real time to achieve remote monitoring and cloud upgrades, and complies with CE/UL safety standards, bringing users all-round safety and convenience.

Distributed cooling system


In addition, Zhongsheng New Energy also provides energy storage cooling solutions and medical imaging cooling solutions. The energy storage cooling solution has a cooling capacity range of 1kW-120kW, suitable for various energy storage applications; the medical imaging cooling solution integrates a chiller and a heat exchanger, suitable for 1.5T or 3.0T MRI systems.
