Nidec Machine Tool Co., Ltd. (President: Kenichi Wakabayashi, Headquarters: Ritto City, Shiga Prefecture), a subsidiary of the Nidec Group, will start selling the first batch of machine tool products, the gear hob "GPH15A", which is completely produced and supplied locally by Nidec Machine Tool (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd.*1 (hereinafter referred to as "Pinghu Factory") established in March 2022, from April, and will begin to quickly supply gear machine tool products that are indispensable for the production of electric vehicles and robots in China . At the same time, the production and service system of cutting tools required for gear processing in the Pinghu Factory has been improved, realizing a one-stop supply of machine tools and tools. The purpose is to quickly meet the strong demand for gear products in the Chinese market.

The gear hob "GPH15A" launched this time will debut at the 10th China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT 2023) held in Beijing from April 10 (Monday) to 15 (Saturday) , and will officially go on sale.

The gear hob "GPH15A" is a dry-cutting machine for gears. It is used for gears with a maximum diameter of 150mm in automobiles, two-wheeled vehicles, robots, etc., and does not use cutting oil during processing, which reduces the load on the environment and makes a great contribution to environmental protection. The machine has a spindle speed of 2,000 min-1, a table speed of 300 min-1, and a processing accuracy of ISO5*2 . It can guarantee the same high speed and processing stability, accuracy and quality as our long-selling machine tool, the gear hob "GE15A". In addition, the main unit adopts a reasonable design based on structural analysis to achieve compactness, avoid wasteful configuration of peripheral devices, and support automation. In addition, in order to reduce the burden on operators, functions such as improved daily maintenance, improved cutting countermeasures, and simple programming of "conversational demand management software" have also been enriched. On this basis, some of the optional functions of the GE15A have been designed as standard specifications in the "GPH15A", which can flexibly respond to the user's workload and the environment of the production site, making it easier to switch production to automated, labor-saving, and high-precision gear processing.

As for cutting tools, we started localizing the production of small modular hobs and pinion milling cutters in China in April. In addition, we also started after-sales services such as tool sharpening and recoating in China. In the future, we will continue to enrich our business varieties and service items and provide one-stop machine tools and tool products related to gear processing.
