A trusted fanless industrial computer NISE 3110P2 was chosen by a leading UK-based manufacturer of high-quality composite insulated roof wall systems. At the Holywell-based production facility, innovative wall systems are formed using cutting wire saw machinery to cut the correct shape. The dust generated during the production process inevitably drilled into their PC-based factory equipment, causing the system to become unreliable and eventually fail.
Therefore, the manufacturer needs a high-performance industrial computer that can work stably in a harsh environment full of dust and can meet the following expectations:
• Powerful dual-core processor
• Fully enclosed fanless design, can work stably in a dusty environment
• Industrial-grade design, providing high reliability and reducing system downtime
• PCI expansion and additional Ethernet connection
To meet these application requirements, NEXCOM provides the intelligent solution of NISE 3110P2 fanless industrial computer. Using Intel® 945GME & ICH7-M chipset, NISE 3110P2 fanless industrial computer supports Intel® Core™ 2 Duo, 533/667 MHz FSB and DDR2 667/533 memory. The powerful platform enables manufacturers to have enough computing power to meet the needs of various operations and run SCADA software.
To increase flexibility, the NISE 3110P2 fanless industrial computer provides 3 RS232 ports, 1 RS232/422/485 port and 2 PCI expansion slots. The Ethernet port makes the NISE 3110P2 convenient for PLC device communication. With a fully enclosed aluminum chassis (195x 268x 107mm), the NISE 3110P2 fanless industrial computer is designed for high reliability, maintenance-free, and even in harsh environments such as dust.
The NISE 3110P2 fanless industrial computer was initially installed on a Holywell manufacturing facility on a production line (North Wales, UK). Due to its outstanding performance and high reliability, the NISE 3110P2 was subsequently installed on other production lines in North Yorkshire (UK), Dublin (Ireland) and Australia.
