There is no virtual serial port when the STM32F0discovery development board is plugged into the computer? [Copy link]

I haven't used this board for several years. When I used it recently, I plugged it into the computer and downloaded the program on ST-LINK. I could see no virtual serial port device in the device manager. I forgot whether it existed before. The schematic diagram shows that there is a UART connected to ST-LINK. Has anyone encountered this problem?

It can't be used in the first place. Early stlink did not support cdc. It was added later. However, you can burn daplink firmware to support cdc  Details Published on 2018-11-24 09:52

If not, how can I debug this serial port? It is already connected to ST-LINK.  Details Published on 2018-11-24 09:28

My stm32f4 discovery also has no cdc. The stlink version is too low

Not sure, if the ST-Link part above is STM32F103C8T6, then it doesn't have it, it's ST-Link-v2. My STM32F4Discovery is the same. The one with VCP is ST-Link-v2-1, the MCU is STM32F103CBT6, such as the one on the Nucleo board.

It's STM32F103C8T6. I've connected the UART, but it doesn't work?  Details Published on 2018-11-24 09:29

The PCB has already been designed, so it will not support  Details Published on 2018-11-24 10:08

It can't be used originally. Early STLink didn't support CDC. It was added later. However, you can burn DAPLink firmware to support CDC.  Details Published on 2018-11-24 09:52

The virtual serial port is simulated by STLINK, which means you need to add a driver. If you can't add it, then there is no

Google didn't find a solution either, so I'll just add a NUCLEO board to do USB->UART, but it's a bit troublesome  Details Published on 2018-11-24 10:10
