『New Product Release』 Common Mode Semiconductor launches 40V, 3ppm/℃ low noise, high precision reference voltage GM7400, which can replace ADI's ADR01 and other products
Common Mode Semiconductor introduces the 40V, 3ppm/℃ low noise, high precision reference voltage GM7400 . The GM7400 is a precision reference voltage source that combines robust operating characteristics with extremely low drift and low noise. Using advanced curvature compensation, this bandgap reference voltage source can achieve 3ppm/°C drift and predictable temperature characteristics, as well as ±0.04% initial voltage accuracy.
The device is ideal for applications such as high-resolution data acquisition, instrumentation for process control, medical equipment, and automotive battery monitoring.
GM7400 Series Product Introduction
The GM7400 buffered output supports ±10mA output drive (at low output impedance) and precise load regulation. The TEMP pin can be used to detect device temperature. Meanwhile, the TRIM pin is used to fine-tune the output voltage. The device is safe in the case of reverse battery connection and has built-in output short-circuit current protection and overload thermal shutdown.
The GM7400 is rated for operation over the temperature range of –55°C to 125°C.
The device is available in 8-pin MSOP and 8-pin SO packages.
The GM7400 series products can replace ADI's ADR01/2/3/6, ADR441/3/5, ADR421/3/5, REF01/2, LT6657, AD780, AD580, AD581, AD586 and other series products, and can also replace TI's REF5025/30/50/10 and other series products.

Car Battery Monitoring
The GM7400 is a high precision, low drift 10V, 5V, 3V and 2.5V voltage reference available in a variety of packages. These devices are based on a standard bandgap voltage reference. The bandgap cell generates a bandgap voltage that remains nearly constant over temperature.
Through the internal operational amplifier and feedback network, VOUT can be accurately set to 10 V, 5 V, 3 V and 2.5 V. Precision trimming of resistors and other proprietary circuit techniques are used to further improve the device's initial accuracy, temperature curve and drift performance.
The PTAT voltage is provided directly from the bandgap voltage at the TEMP pin without buffering. Since this voltage output has a stable 1.96 mV/°C temperature coefficient, users can estimate the temperature change of the device by simply monitoring the voltage change at this pin.
