New automotive-grade thick film chip resistors from Vishay improve accuracy and stability while reducing system component count
Space-saving device in small 2512 package, operating voltage up to 1415 V, suitable for automotive and industrial applications
MALVERN, Pennsylvania, USA, and Shanghai, China - March 8, 2023 - Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of a new series of small 2512 package automotive grade thick film chip resistors---CDMA series, with an operating voltage of 1415 V. Vishay Techno CDMA series resistors reduce system component count and processing costs for automotive and industrial applications while reducing PCB size and improving accuracy and stability.
The recently released chip resistor divider integrates two resistors in a single package with a creepage distance of 5mm. One device can replace multiple discrete resistors used in voltage dividing applications. This space-saving device is AEC-Q200 qualified and is ideally suited for use in high-power DC/DC converters and inverters for electric vehicles (EVs) and industrial equipment, on-board chargers, and battery management system voltage monitoring and overvoltage protection.
CDMA series devices have a resistance range of 500 kΩ to 50 MΩ, a maximum standard resistance ratio of 600:1, a tolerance of only ± 0.5 %, and TCR tracking as low as ± 10 ppm/°C. The chip voltage divider is RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and comes in a standard three-sided roll package with solder-coated nickel barrier terminals.
Samples of the CDMA series resistors are available now and mass production has been achieved, with a lead time of 14 weeks.
