A 250W PWM inverter circuit around IC SG3524 is shown here. SG3524 is an integrated switching regulator circuit that has all the necessary circuitry required for a switching regulator, either single ended or push pull mode. The internal design circuit of SG3524 has built in pulse width modulator, oscillator, reference voltage source, error amplifier, overload protection circuit, output driver etc. SG3524 forms the heart of this PWM inverter circuit, which can correct its output voltage for changes in output load. In non-PWM inverters the changes in output load directly affect the output voltage (output voltage decreases when output load increases and vice versa), but in PWM inverters the output voltage remains constant within a range of output loads.
