Ambarella presents its AI innovation achievements at Shenzhen Security Expo, demonstrating its concept of "creating the future with core technology"

Shenzhen, China - December 27, 2021 - The 18th China International Public Security Expo (hereinafter referred to as: 2021 Shenzhen CPSE) opened in Shenzhen on December 26. As a globally influential security industry event, CPSE has become a microcosm of the highland of high-tech development, bringing together many high-tech industries such as smart cities, artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud services. At this year's CPSE, Ambarella, a leader in artificial intelligence and edge computing, exhibited cutting-edge technologies related to the smart network camera platform, including the newly launched flagship product 5nm 8K AI vision chip CV5, as well as vision chip products, technologies and solutions for industry applications.

AI envisioned , or "creating the future with core", is Ambarella's new vision and goal, aiming to highlight that Ambarella is not only a leading vision chip provider, but will also introduce artificial intelligence and edge computing into current product applications with top technology and continuous innovation, so as to better improve our lives.

As the latest flagship product of Ambarella, the visual chip CV5 was grandly exhibited at this year's Shenzhen Security Expo. Based on the powerful CVflow® architecture and advanced 5nm process, CV5 not only has the leading 8Kp60 ISP processing capability, but also has excellent HEVC video encoding capabilities, can efficiently cope with complex scenes, and has extremely low power consumption. It is worth mentioning that CV5 has a resolution of up to 4000 lines under 8K image input, and natively supports high-definition full-frame CMOS sensors; while CV5 is encoding up to 8K (or 4-channel 4K), it can also use its high-performance AI engine to execute multiple algorithms. For four-channel image input, CV5 can run four different neural network algorithms to achieve industry-leading AI performance. Multi-sensor cameras based on CV5 can achieve full-angle coverage and monitoring, and execute artificial intelligence algorithms. For complex scenes, as well as security camera system applications that require coverage of a larger range and longer distances, CV5 is the best choice.

At this year's Shenzhen Security Expo, Ambarella exhibited machine vision products, police law enforcement recorders, smart door locks, electronic doorbells, etc. powered by AI vision chips, and demonstrated its excellent performance in supporting multiple types of sensors such as structured light, RGB, thermal infrared, and achieving simultaneous fusion. Ambarella's AI vision chips can not only assist traditional security, but also have outstanding hard-core strength and market competitiveness in supporting non-traditional security fields related to Industry 4.0.

Ambarella also exhibited the hardware and software integrated security solution "Panshi" developed based on years of information security practice . This security solution has been mass-produced in cooperation with many leading domestic and foreign customers, leading the industry. In the chip design and SDK design of CV5, the information security solution has been further improved. "Panshi" will continue to play a greater role in protecting user privacy, protecting intellectual property rights, and preventing hacker intrusions.

Mr. Feng Yutao, General Manager of Ambarella China, said: "Ambarella attaches great importance to the Chinese market and has a strong enough technical R&D team. Based on the long-term accumulation of industry-leading technologies such as video encoding and decoding technology and image signal processing technology, Ambarella will continue to accumulate strength, guided by market demand, and is committed to providing cost-effective chip products and solutions to promote the implementation of AI technology products. Our goal is very clear, to shift the focus from products and solutions to customers, solve the real needs of users, build a complete closed loop of R&D and application, and empower AI in smart applications in all walks of life."

Ambarella 's AI visual processing technology and products support the access of various sensors, advanced image processing, and multi-sensor fusion. These intelligent sensing devices will meet the evolving market needs. Market demand has always been the core driving force for the development and implementation of technology. As an early field of AI implementation, security has brought new opportunities to the security industry with the rapid development of AI technology, mature products and applications. By launching AI products that break the ceiling and building the core of the security system, Ambarella has illuminated its dream into the blue ocean of AI security. Based on the powerful advantages of AI visual processing technology, it has realized more implementation scenarios in the market, which coincides with Ambarella's AI envisioned future development concept.
