WPG Group launches high-definition surveillance video DVR solution based on NOVATEK products
On September 16, 2021, WPG Holdings, a leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Quanta Computer has launched a surveillance video DVR solution based on Novatek's NT98323.

In this information technology era, people have long been accustomed to using monitoring systems to understand the situation in various places anytime and anywhere. In the monitoring system, the importance of DVR or NVR is self-evident. DVR is a computer system for image storage and processing, with the functions of long-term video recording, recording, remote monitoring and control of images/voices. The monitoring video DVR solution launched by Dalian Daquanding based on NOVATEK NT98323 can provide users with high image quality and high-performance video monitoring.

The NT98323 used in this solution is a professional SoC chip designed by NOVATEK for multi-channel H265 HD DVR systems. In addition to built-in ARM Cortex CA9 dual-core CPU, H.264/H.265 codec, MJPEG codec, 2D graphics accelerator engine, 4K UHD display controller and NOVATEK's self-developed CNN Gen2 hardware accelerator and other devices, the chip can also provide video pre-processing and post-processing functions, and support multi-format video input for HD DVR high video quality applications.
