Turbine flowmeter is widely used to measure liquids in closed pipes that corrode stainless steel and hard alloys, and have no impurities such as fibers and particles. For liquids with a kinematic viscosity greater than 5×10-6m2/s, the flowmeter can be calibrated with real liquid before use. For the problems encountered during the initial operation, you must be good at analyzing and thinking. The entire set of liquid turbine flowmeter has been adjusted and calibrated on the flow calibration device of the manufacturer. As long as you check the matching number of the sensor and converter, whether the instrument coefficient is correct, etc., the general liquid turbine flowmeter can be put into operation without any adjustment.


Second, before the instrument is put into operation, the liquid turbine flowmeter sensor must be filled with the actual measuring medium, and the zero point must be adjusted in a static state after power is turned on. After it is put into operation, the flow should be stopped regularly to check the zero point according to the medium and the conditions of use. Especially for non-clean media that are easy to precipitate, easy to contaminate electrodes, and contain solids, more inspections should be done in the early stage of operation to gain experience and determine the normal inspection cycle.


Third, if the contact resistance of the two electrodes changes, it indicates that the liquid turbine flowmeter electrode is likely to be contaminated; if the contact resistance increases, the contaminant may be insulating deposits; if the contact resistance decreases, the contaminant may be conductive deposits; the contact resistance of the two electrodes is asymmetric, indicating that the degree of contamination of the two electrodes is different; the decrease in the insulation resistance of the electrodes and the excitation coil indicates the degree of moisture in the liquid turbine flowmeter sensor; when the insulation resistance drops to a certain level, it will affect the normal operation of the instrument.
