"On November 16, 2022, Silicon Micro released two intelligent millimeter-wave reference designs: XenP202 multi-target recognition and XenG102ST gesture recognition sensing. With the high-performance, multi-chip cascadable, flexible and practical S5KM312CL SoC as the core, the XenP series uses complex target trajectory tracking and interval division technology for multi-target detection. Based on the lightweight and easy-to-use S3KM111L SoC, the XenG series combines gesture recognition with positioning and ranging algorithms, optimizes close-range sensing algorithms, and implements customized gesture sensing in-depth in application scenarios . The two new products are now available for sale in the online mall.
Silicon Micro's XenP202 multi-target recognition and XenG102ST gesture recognition smart millimeter wave sensors
The new product XenP202 released this time is based on the Silicon Micro S5 series SoC and is equipped with the XenP (Position) series' unique target trajectory tracking algorithm. Through a one-transmit and two-receive antenna, the sensor can detect the phase difference of the target signal, accurately determine the angle of the target, and achieve high-sensitivity dynamic tracking sensing capabilities. Using Silicon Micro's multi-target detection software, you can easily divide the sensing area and warning area, accurately identify multiple moving human targets in the scene, and help terminal devices realize multiple functional configurations in different intervals. It is suitable for intelligent application scenarios such as smart security, smart air supply, smart home and lighting.
In addition, the new product XenG102ST, based on the Silicon Micro S3 series SoC, adds gesture recognition algorithms to the ability of human body positioning sensing. Non-contact sensing functions such as toilet lid opening, turning the ring, closing the lid and flushing are oriented to intelligent needs. The XenG (Gesture Control) series goes deep into application scenarios and creates gesture recognition sensing standards for smart toilet applications. At the same time, it is embedded with a high-precision ranging algorithm to report detection data in real time and improve the anti-interference ability outside the range. By carrying different firmware or algorithms, it can be applied to a variety of gesture recognition application scenarios such as smart switch panels, security monitoring, smart lighting, and public facilities.
The two new products are based on the characteristics of SiDian microchips, and bring further optimization to high-end application equipment with performance upgrades and algorithm improvements. In order to facilitate industry users to better experience the performance of millimeter wave sensor SoC, SiDian Micro launched the Wanhexinxuan online mall, opening up product procurement channels such as chips, reference designs, and development kits. It allows industry users and professional radar developers to test the experience in a simple and fast way.
At the press conference, Dr. Xu Hongtao not only elaborated on the innovative breakthroughs brought by millimeter wave sensors in his keynote speech "Perception Follows the Chip", but also brought the audience the "easter egg" of SiDian Micro AI gesture recognition sensing. Whether it is up, down, left, right, or deeply defined single-click, double-click, clockwise, or counterclockwise control, it can be clearly presented through the ONE Lab series development board. With the underlying algorithm capabilities provided by SiDian Micro, more developers can combine their own product definition capabilities in upper-level applications to realize gesture recognition functions on terminal hardware.
