(Hsinchu, Taiwan, March 28) PUFsecurity, a company dedicated to developing chip security solutions with physically unclonable function (PUF) as its core technology , today announced the launch of its next-generation cryptographic coprocessor, PUFcc7. PUFcc7 is equipped with the latest security algorithms and greatly improves computing performance, fully supporting AIoT clients to meet TLS 1.3 and FIPS 186-5 requirements.
The advantages of the PUFcc cryptographic coprocessor IP series are based on the integration of a hardware root of trust with PUF as the core technology and a full set of cryptographic algorithms, and the entire IP is further protected by a comprehensive tamper-proof shell . In order to meet the rapidly changing security needs of this era and the ever-changing applications and regulations, Entropy Technology's PUFcc series has actively passed various international certifications, including NIST-CAVP, PSA Certified Level 2 Ready, and is continuing to undergo PSA Certified Level 3 RoT Component certification. The new member of the family, PUFcc7, was also born in response to the latest requirements of the communication protocol TLS 1.3 and FIPS 186-5.
PUFcc7 has been upgraded in terms of security strength and time performance. First of all, in the Public Key Cryptography (PKC) section, PUFcc7 has added new algorithms EdDSA and X25519/X448. In addition, PUFcc7 has expanded the flexibility of the use of the PKC algorithm, not only providing customers with three levels of operating speed settings (up to 22 times the speed of PUFcc), but also providing four PKC key length configurations that meet the security strength requirements of TLS 1.3, supporting 256, 384, 521 and RSA. In terms of other algorithms, PUFcc7 has also added SHA3 and KMAC. Finally, in terms of key wrapping methods, PUFcc7 also provides further encryption processing options on top of PUF scrambling.
“The PUFcc series has always been the only highly integrated product on the market that combines a hardware root of trust with a complete cryptographic engine, and the new PUFcc7 further demonstrates the scalability and flexibility of this product to keep pace with the times,” said Zhong Chenglin, Vice President of Marketing at Entropy Technology. “At Entropy Technology, our mission is to help customers prepare for all IoT security evolutions in advance. We are confident that we can provide long-term support to all our customers and partners as we face this rapidly advancing era together.”
