This is the circuit diagram of a game score display using 7-segment LED. The circuit consists of a timer IC, two decade counters and a display driver along with a 7-segment LED display for displaying the score.

The game is simple. As mentioned above, it is a scoring game and the player who gets 100 points quickly (in short steps) wins. For scoring, there is a choice of pressing switch S2 or S3. When switch S2 is pressed, it makes the counter count up, while switch S3 helps count down.

Before starting a new game, or even a new move, you must reset the cicuit by pressing switch S1. After this, press any of the two switches, either S2 or S3.

When you press switch S2 or S3, the BCD output of the counter changes very quickly, and when you release the switch, the last digit remains at the output of IC2. The latched BCD number is input to BCD to 7-segment decoder/driver IC3, which drives common anode display DIS1. However, you can only read this number when switch S4 is pressed.

The sequence of operations for playing a game between two players "X" and "Y" can be summarized as follows:

Player "X" first presses the reset switch S1, then presses and releases switch S2 or S3. After that, he presses switch S4 to read the display (music score) and manually writes down the number (such as X1).

Player "Y" also starts momentarily pressing switch S1, then pressing switch S2 or S3, then writing down his score (say Y1) after pressing switch S4, exactly the same as the first player did.

Player "X" presses switch S1 again and repeats the procedure shown in step 1 above and notes his new score (e.g. X2). He adds this score to his previous score. Player "Y" takes his turn and repeats the same procedure.

Play continues until one of the two players reaches a total score of 100 or more and is declared the winner.

Multiple players can participate in this game, and each player has a chance to score points during his or her turn.

Build the circuit using a multi-purpose PCB. Fix the display (LED and 7-segment display) on the top of the cabinet along with three switches. The supply voltage of the circuit? 5V. You can use three batteries connected in series to operate this game score display circuit.
