From June 25 to 27, the Zhejiang Provincial College Students' Engineering Practice and Innovation Ability Competition was successfully held at Zhejiang Water Resources and Hydropower University. The competition was hosted by Zhejiang Provincial College Students' Science and Technology Competition Committee and undertaken by Zhejiang Water Resources and Hydropower University. It is a provincial subject competition for ordinary undergraduate colleges and higher vocational colleges in Zhejiang Province.
This year's competition is themed "Upholding morality and respecting labor, pursuing excellence through engineering innovation; serving the society, building a strong country with wisdom and courage to take responsibility", focusing on the three core elements of educating people, cultivating talents, and innovation. A total of 158 teams from 42 universities across the province participated in the competition.

The proposition of the "Engineering Maker" track in the competition follows this idea to guide college teachers and students to innovatively tackle such complex engineering problems. The competition topic centered on the "intelligent manipulator" can give the manipulator grasping perception capabilities by adding pressure detection functions. While showing the innovative application of future technologies, it also perfectly integrates machinery, electricity and software, and truly examines the comprehensive engineering practice capabilities of the participating teams and the forward-looking thinking and original innovation capabilities for future technologies.
