Intel officially announced that it will release a new achievement in its RealSense depth camera series - RealSense TCS (Touchless Control Software) at CES 2021.

As the name implies, RealSense TCS technology allows users to use the touch screen without touching the screen (floating touch). Intel said that this technology can be used in public touch screen devices such as ATMs and ATMs. Under the influence of the new crown epidemic, most people are reluctant to touch the screen that others have touched, which is also the original intention of Intel to develop this technology.

IT Home learned that this technology does not require changes to the core system, but runs as a separate software. It only needs to be connected to the RealSense depth camera D435 model to perform floating touch on screens between 11 and 32 inches.

Intel also announced a facial recognition technology based on the RealSense depth camera on January 6, which combines RealSense's depth sensing system with a special neural network to perceive the user's facial features.
