As a manufacturer responsible for the production of national memory chips, the development of Yangtze Memory Technologies Co., Ltd. located in Wuhan, Hubei has become one of the focuses of industry attention in the face of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.

In response to this, Yangtze Memory stated in its reply to company e that production and operations are currently proceeding normally and orderly, there are no cases of infection among Yangtze Memory and manufacturer employees stationed in the factory, and zoning isolation and control measures are adopted to prevent the introduction of viruses from outside.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Yangtze Memory has actively responded and has taken a series of scientific prevention and control measures to ensure production:

1. Ensure the health and safety of employees

Yangtze Memory has always adhered to the principle of "personnel safety first", strictly followed government regulations to ensure the safety of employees, delayed the return of non-local employees, and encouraged remote work when conditions permit. It also carried out epidemic prevention propaganda for on-duty employees, distributed masks, conducted temperature checks, strengthened disinfection, and isolated traffic lines.

2. Ensure production continuity

In terms of raw material supply and logistics, the company is currently actively coordinating to ensure the normal operation of the production line. Currently, Yangtze Memory's production and operation are proceeding normally and orderly. There are no cases of infection among Yangtze Memory and factory employees stationed in the factory, and zoning isolation and control measures are adopted to prevent the introduction of viruses from outside.

3. Minimize negative impact

Due to the impact of changes in the external environment, Yangtze Memory actively coordinated with government departments to minimize the impact while ensuring safety. Under scientific and effective prevention and control measures, while ensuring the health of employees, it effectively avoided the potential safety hazards caused by power outages and production stoppages.

In 2017, Yangtze Memory successfully designed and manufactured China's first batch of 3D NAND flash memory chips through a combination of independent research and development and international cooperation. In September 2019, the 64-layer TLC 3D NAND flash memory equipped with Yangtze Memory's independent innovative Xtacking® architecture was officially mass-produced. This is also China's first 64-layer 3D NAND flash memory.

At the first press conference held during the two sessions of Hubei Province, Yang Daohong, member of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice chairman of Yangtze Memory Technologies Co., Ltd., revealed that their core task at present and in the future is to promote the increase in production capacity, to achieve a monthly production capacity of 100,000 pieces of 64-layer 3D flash memory products as soon as possible and to build a monthly production capacity of 300,000 pieces on schedule, so as to enhance the scale effect of the national memory base.

Next, Yangtze Memory will skip the 96-layer and directly invest in the research and development and mass production of 128-layer flash memory.
