In other aspects, OPPO, Honor, Huawei and vivo have similar market shares. OPPO shipped 10.7 million units in the first quarter, leading the Chinese smartphone market with a market share of 16.9%.

Honor's shipments increased by 1% year-on-year to 10.6 million units, with a market share of 16.7%, ranking second.

Huawei's shipments increased significantly by 118.8% year-on-year to 10.5 million units, and its market share reached 16.6%, ranking third.

Vivo and Xiaomi followed closely in fourth and fifth place, with market shares of 16.1% and 15.0% respectively.

TechInsights said that the top six smartphone manufacturers accounted for a total of 95.1% of the market share, higher than 93.7% a year ago, indicating that market concentration has further increased.

Other smaller manufacturers in China are limited in scale and channels and continue to face huge challenges in the domestic market.
