Welfare | Wen Chu, founder of Great Wall Club, held a new book "Bu Dong" launch conference and recalled the ten-year history of GMIC
I won't return to the Tang Dynasty until I get the true scriptures.
On April 26, the 10th Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) with the theme of "AI (Artificial Intelligence) Creates Everything" was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing. In the afternoon of the same day, Wen Chu, founder, chairman and CEO of the Great Wall Club, the organizer of the conference, held a press conference for his new work "Bu Dong" in the conference hall of the conference center, and exchanged views on the ten-year development history of GMIC with celebrities such as Yu Minhong, Fu Sheng, and Hai Quan. Thousands of participants and media representatives attended the event.
The book "Budong" was grandly published by CITIC Publishing Group in April this year. The book includes many essays written by Mr. Wen Chu in the ten years since he founded the Great Wall Club. It records his mental journey and experience summary of many years of entrepreneurship in both Chinese and English, and includes precious photos of Wen Chu interviewing elites from all walks of life such as Hawking, Perez, and Yu Guangzhong. It can be said to be a microcosm of the vicissitudes and great changes of mobile Internet in China and abroad in the past ten years.
The conference was hosted by Zhou Hang, founder of Yidao Car Rental and current investment partner of Shunwei Capital. At the beginning of the meeting, Wen Chu first explained to the audience the meaning of the title "Bu Dong", which means "not returning to the Tang Dynasty without obtaining the true scriptures". It is a Japanese word he accidentally saw outside the Jianzhen Temple in Japan. It implies the precious spirit of overcoming all difficulties, fearing no hardships, pioneering and forging ahead, and persevering. It coincides with Wen Chu's many years of entrepreneurial experience and the spiritual core of his "Little Postman of the World".
Afterwards, Liu Bin, the first president of the Great Wall Club, took the stage and fondly recalled the precious experience of meeting Wen Chu and co-founding the company, as well as the initial development of the Great Wall Club in Japan. During the period, Mr. Wen Chu also shared several precious photos of the early days of his business with the audience, including a group photo with Lei Jun, the first chairman of the Great Wall Club and founder of Xiaomi, when they started their business in Silicon Valley.
As the proud "going overseas" representative of the Great Wall Club, Fu Sheng, CEO of Cheetah Mobile, also took the stage to talk about his company's indissoluble bond with the club in the process of going overseas.
Afterwards, Wenchu recalled the great contributions made by Tencent founder Ma Huateng, WeChat founder Zhang Xiaolong and other Internet celebrities in the development of the Great Wall Club. Lizhi founder Lai Yilong, India's "Jack Ma" Weisa, He Lin, Li Kan and Bai Ruide of Hejun Capital also came to the stage to introduce the development of the Great Wall Club's investment project "Butou".
At the scene, Wen Chu also solemnly recommended the "no learning" under the Great Wall Club - use when useless, learn without learning, that is, the situation of GASA, Gaoshan University, which he founded, and invited several elite students of GASA: Wu Fanghua, New Oriental founder Yu Minhong and famous singer Haiquan to share their learning experience in GASA. Yu Minhong and others' humorous remarks made the audience burst into laughter and applause. Mr. Wen Chu finally announced the end of the press conference and signed autographs for a large number of enthusiastic audiences.
