MEMS Sensor | TDK launches closed-loop digital accelerometer Tronics AXO314 for high-dynamic industrial applications
TDK has launched a new product based on the Tronics AXO®300 accelerometer platform. This is also Tronics' expansion of its product portfolio after the successful release of the AXO315 for avionics, the AXO305 for land and marine positioning systems, and the AXO301 for railway and inclination measurement applications. The latter is a high-performance digital MEMS accelerometer with a ±14 g measurement range, designed for industrial applications with high shock and vibration resistance requirements. ✍????
The AXO314 uses an industry-unique closed-loop architecture with excellent linearity and vibration resistance. It is a small size, light weight and low power (SWaP), digital and cost-effective solution that can be used to replace large and expensive tactical-grade quartz accelerometers with obvious advantages.
AXO314 has excellent one-year compound bias repeatability (1mg) and bias stability (4 µg), and is a rugged, compact, and high-precision accelerometer solution. Its high stability and reliability can meet the application requirements of dynamic systems in harsh working conditions.
Tronics' high-stability MEMS gyroscope GYPRO®4300 shares the same SMD J-lead ceramic package with AXO314, has excellent thermal stability, and both use a 24-bit SPI interface. Therefore, combined with GYPRO®4300, AXO314 is very suitable for multi-axis tactical-grade inertial measurement units (IMUs) and inertial navigation systems (INS) widely used in sea, land and air mapping applications, as well as GNSS-assisted positioning systems for aviation and ground vehicles.
The AXO314 is not subject to dual-use export control and is REACH and RoHS compliant. Like all products in TDK's other high-performance MEMS inertial sensor portfolio, the AXO314 accelerometer is factory calibrated to provide high-precision output over the operating temperature range. At the same time, users can also select raw data output to customize compensation strategies.
AXO314 will be available in volume production in May 2024 and is available now for sampling and customer evaluation directly from Tronics or through dedicated distributors.
