Bluetooth® Smart Network Processor
Among the vast number of Bluetooth® 4.1 compatible devices, BlueNRG-MS products, with their unprecedented low current consumption, are the ideal solution for all Bluetooth® smart devices, which can operate for months or even years with only a coin-sized battery.
BlueNRG-MS runs the full Bluetooth® low energy protocol stack on the embedded Cortex®-M0 core and also connects to the host MCU via a proprietary SPI interface to run the application. Supporting master and slave roles BlueNRG-MS can work as a central device ( managing 8 peripherals ) or a peripheral device without firmware upgrades.
The Bluetooth® application is on the host MCU , or in other words, it runs inside the MCU .
