Nintendo suffered the worst hacker attack in history: complete source code, design documents and technical demonstrations leaked

This wave of leaks from Nintendo can be said to be quite tragic.
How many files were leaked?
More than 2TB .
What is involved?
Full source code , design documents , and nearly everything used to build the Wii console, including technical demos like the N64.
This leak can be said to be the most serious hacker attack Nintendo has ever encountered .
What's more coincidental is that a PC port of "Super Mario 64" claiming to be decompiled by fans has become popular on the Internet and even ranked first on GitHub's hot list today .
The largest file leak in Nintendo history
Over the past few weeks, an anonymous user has been uploading a large number of Nintendo's internal files to the American forum 4chan.
In addition, Youtube blogger Sebastian also compiled a demo of similar N64 games.
Atheerios, a user of the Resetera website who has been following the incident closely, believes that all the data and files were stolen directly from a company (BroadOn) that is cooperating with Nintendo .
By attacking the BroadOn server, hackers obtained all the source code, data sheets, design block diagrams and Verilog files (Verilog is a hardware description language) of the Wii console .
Atheerios also compiled the full contents of the leaked document:
The documents leaked in the past few weeks include:
In addition to the Wii and N64 consoles, Nintendo also had a large number of "Pokemon" related files leaked this time, including the debugging version and source code of "Pokemon Yellow/Blue", "Pokemon Gold/Silver", and the debugging version of "Pokemon Sun and Moon/Ultimate Sun and Moon".
Decompiled Super Mario 64 tops GitHub's hot list
Even more coincidentally, a fully functional PC port of Super Mario 64 recently began circulating online.
This is a breakthrough after fans were able to decompile the game's code last year.
This project also ranked first on GitHub's hot list today.
Unlike PC emulators that mimic the conditions of the original N64 hardware, a DirectX 12-powered port will let players run Mario 64 at higher resolutions in native 4K or ultrawide mode without any impact.
Players can also use modern peripherals to play games, such as Microsoft's Xbox One controller.
You can even add visual effects to Super Mario 64 through the third-party app Reshade, including native ray tracing.
However, it is not clear whether this decompilation is related to the major leak of Nintendo game console data. Perhaps it is just a coincidence in time.
Some players and media speculated that the leaker might have more information in his hands.
However, at present, most of the leaked information is the development files of Nintendo's old consoles, and the current Switch has not been affected.
At present, Nintendo has not made an official response to this matter.
