Mouser Electronics now stocks MCX industrial and IoT microcontrollers (MCUs) from NXP Semiconductors . These new MCUs are high-performance, low-power microcontrollers with intelligent peripherals and accelerators for safe, intelligent motor control, and machine learning applications.

NXP's new MCX N series microcontrollers are equipped with Arm® Cortex®-M33 CPUs, intelligent peripherals and accelerators, communication and signal processing functions, strong scalability and easy development. MCX N's low-power cache improves system performance, while dual flash and full ECC RAM support system security and provide additional protection. Some MCX N devices include NXP's eIQ® Neutron neural processing unit (NPU) for machine learning applications. The MCX N series also includes the EdgeLock® secure area Core Profile, which ensures security by design itself, providing secure boot with immutable root of trust and hardware-accelerated encryption.

In addition, there are the NXP MCX A series of microcontrollers, which have scalable device options, low power consumption and intelligent peripherals, allowing designers to choose smaller packages and simplify board design. The MCX A series is designed to support more GPIO pins to provide more external connections, with an operating frequency of up to 96MHz, high integration, excellent analog performance and a variety of peripherals, including timers and 4Msps 12-bit ADCs. The timer can generate three sets of complementary pulse width modulation (PWM) signals with dead zone insertion, and the 4Msps 12-bit ADC can implement hardware window and averaging functions. The MCX A series provides functions that are critical to system performance. Its innovative power architecture can efficiently utilize I/O and save power. The power supply circuit is simple and occupies a small area.

NXP Semiconductors FRDM-MCXN947 and FRDM-MCXA153 Fast Retrieval and Data Manipulator (FRDM) Development Boards are low-cost, scalable, compact development platforms that enable rapid prototyping using MCUXpresso development tools. The FRDM-MCXN947 is based on the MCX N series, which is suitable for a wide range of applications with high integration, on-chip accelerators, smart peripherals, and advanced security. The FRDM-MCXA153 is based on the MCX A series with scalable device options, low power consumption, and smart peripherals.
