Micron Launches World's First 1TB microSD Card to Meet Consumer Demand for Mobile Storage
SAN JOSE, Calif., May 29, 2019 – At Mobile World Congress 2019, Micron Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: MU), an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions, today announced the Micron® c200 1TB microSDXC UHS-I card – the world’s highest capacity microSD card, delivering one terabyte (1TB) of high -performance removable storage.
The c200 1TB microSD card is the world’s first microSD card to use Micron’s advanced 96-layer 3D NAND Quad-Level Cell (QLC) technology . The 1TB microSD card provides consumers with cost-effective storage for their mobile phones and other electronic devices, enabling smooth 4K video, photo and gaming experiences.

Focused on high-performance mobile applications, the c200 1TB microSD card complies with the A2 application performance class specification , enhancing the Android Adoptable storage 2 user experience by accelerating the loading speed of applications and games installed on the card .
The Micron c200 1TB microSD card delivers read speeds of up to 100MB/s and write performance of up to 95MB/s 3 , meeting UHS-I Speed Class 3 and Video Speed Class 30 specifications. 4 Products that meet this performance specification are ideal for capturing 4K content, gaming consoles and burst-mode still photography.
