The sandbox model became a highlight in the grand planning display of Micron's new Xi'an plant. The model vividly demonstrated the layout and scale of the new plant, and worked with China Construction First Engineering Bureau to deeply implement the green concept and strive to build the new plant into a model of LEED green building gold standard, and vividly demonstrated the changes from wafers to dies, then to DRAM/LPDRAM, and finally to memory modules.

It can be seen here that Micron has long been committed to building its Xi'an plant into a world-leading "Sustainable Development Excellence Center". As of September 2024, Micron's Xi'an Sustainable Development Project is expected to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 85% and achieve 100% renewable energy electricity use in CY25.
