Intel and Juniper Networks Help Service Providers Accelerate Future Deployments

Intel and Juniper Networks recently announced a collaboration to accelerate the development of the open radio access network (ORAN) ecosystem . In addition, the two parties also highlighted the innovative ways the two companies are addressing industry-wide challenges. The collaboration between Intel and Juniper Networks includes:

● Pre-integrated and verified Intel FlexRAN reference architecture and Juniper Networks RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) to improve the ease of use of fully ORAN-compatible intelligent RAN systems.

● Collaborate with Intel Labs to develop specific applications for the RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) platform to enhance customer experience, maximize operators’ return on investment, and drive rapid innovation in the ORAN ecosystem.

● Build a joint customer test bed with Juniper Networks to validate implementation of performance improvements and accelerate deployment.

Today, as operators continue to transform their infrastructure for 5G, open radio access networks have become the networking industry's top choice. Intel's collaboration with Juniper Networks and the validation of FlexRAN and RIC solutions will help service providers overcome integration challenges and accelerate future deployments.
