Use Infineon ModusToolbox™ seamlessly in just five steps
In the second lesson of the ModusToolbox™ lecture , we mentioned that the official product development resources of ModusToolbox™ are hosted on github.com. However, github.com cannot provide stable online services in mainland China, which indirectly results in the inability of ModusToolbox™ official product development resources to be provided to users in the usual way. Users may encounter errors or warnings related to network access when using ModusToolbox™.
But now we have a solution! Just install a small patch, which allows you to quickly download routines from github.com and develop quickly in ModusToolbox™!
ModusToolbox™ patch installation method in five steps
The first step is to enter the Infineon official website ModusToolbox™ webpage, download and install the latest version of ModusToolbox™ .
Note: Please select install for me only when installing and keep the default installation path to avoid errors during use.
The second step is to run Windows Power Shell as administrator.
Step 3 Enter the following commands in order (as an administrator)
3.1 get-executionpolicy
3.2 set-executionpolicy remotesigned
3.3a
Step 4: Install the patch script (as administrator)
The fifth step is to open the ModusToolbox™ development environment and start the journey of unlimited creative development!
ModusToolbox™ supported hardware
ModusToolbox™ toolkit is a modern and extensible development environment toolkit that provides development support for most Infineon microcontroller products, such as: PSoC™ Arm ® Cortex ® microcontroller, TRAVEO ™ T2G Arm ® Cortex ® microcontrollers, XMC™ industrial microcontrollers, AIROC™ Wi-Fi modules, AIROC™ Bluetooth® modules , and USB-C Power Delivery microcontrollers, etc.
What’s new in ModusToolbox™ 3.2
The latest ModusToolbox™ 3.2 adds a new control panel application that centrally provides entry-level teaching resources, including key documents, training modules, video tutorials and links to relevant community forums. The control panel provides workflow guidance to help developers create new embedded projects for a variety of integrated development environments, including those included in Microsoft Visual Studio Code, IAR Embedded Workbench, Arm ® MDK (µVision IDE) or ModusToolbox™ Various development environments such as Eclipse IDE. The latest version of ModusToolbox™ also includes important updates to the BSP Assistant, including a new user interface that allows developers to create board support packages (BSP) using a silicon-centric process. In addition, the latest version of ModusToolbox™ will continue to support the reference BSP in the Infineon Development Board Management Library.
