Infineon Technologies and ETG work together to build a bridge of communication and promote industry development
Recently, the roadshow held by Infineon and ETG in Beijing, Wuhan and Shenzhen has come to a successful conclusion. In the roadshow, Infineon not only demonstrated its advanced solutions supporting EtherCAT, but also shared the wonderful contents of EtherCAT technology market, products and application cases, diagnostic methods, integrated digitalization, etc., and provided all-round information for machine manufacturers, system integrators and factory end users.
Focusing on the latest developments, the roadshow was held grandly
EtherCAT (Ethernet Control Automation Technology) is known for its excellent performance, flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Whether it is internal control of a machine, production line control, or the control solution of the entire factory, EtherCAT can provide strong support in terms of performance, flexibility, stability and even information security, providing users with more cost-effective and adaptable machine and factory control solutions.
From October 21 to 25, the EtherCAT roadshow was successfully held, attracting nearly 400 technical engineers from machine manufacturers, equipment suppliers, end users and system integrators to participate enthusiastically. A wide variety of EtherCAT products and system demonstrations with wide applications were displayed on site. The speakers provided participants with detailed EtherCAT information through rich EtherCAT application cases, helping users reduce costs, improve equipment efficiency and simplify the debugging process in actual implementation and application.
During the event, Ran Ruibao, Senior Marketing Manager of Infineon Consumer, Computing and Communications Business in Greater China, introduced in detail the XMC™ 4000 series and XMC™ 7000 series that support EtherCAT slave and master protocols, and shared the product roadmap of the PSOC™ Control series. In addition, through various application cases, participants also learned that Infineon, as one of the earliest partners of EtherCAT, can provide complete and cost-effective EtherCAT solutions.
Infineon's system-level solutions attract much attention
Infineon exhibited two demonstration models integrated with the EtherCAT protocol at the event, namely the motor controller for robot joints and the system-level solution supporting EtherCAT master and slave. The two demonstration models demonstrated the powerful capabilities of Infineon's XMC series MCUs, which not only meet the customer standards of industrial microcontrollers and real-time communication requirements in industrial environments, but also help designers reduce BOM costs and save PCB space, and provide a user-friendly industrial interface.

The robot joint motor demonstration model is one of the highlights of the exhibition. It not only uses Infineon's BGA packaged XMC4800 as the main control platform, but also uses MOTI 6ED2742S01Q and OptiMOS 5. Compared with the traditional CAN protocol solution, the overall PCBA layout volume is reduced. It is equipped with an EtherCAT network and has the advantages of high efficiency, short refresh cycle and high synchronization accuracy.

In the demonstration model of the system-level solution supporting EtherCAT master and slave, Infineon XMC4300 is used as the EtherCAT slave and XMC7200 as the EtherCAT master. It is equipped with an EtherCAT network and has the advantages of high reliability, low latency and high precision.

Build a bridge of communication to promote industry development
This EtherCAT three-city roadshow is not only a technology display platform, but also a bridge for industry communication and cooperation. Through this event, Infineon has further deepened its ties with the industrial control industry and demonstrated its active role in promoting the development of the industry. With the continuous development and innovation of the EtherCAT protocol, Infineon will continue to work with industry partners to jointly promote the development of the industrial control industry.
