Low-power WiFi has become a core factor of IoT. Last year, Rockchip announced the launch of the world's lowest power WiFi RKi6000, which makes WiFi power consumption comparable to BT4.0 LE (Low Energy) Bluetooth low energy consumption. It can cover smart homes, mainstream home appliances, home control centers, and even medical, transportation, military and other fields. This revolutionary low-power WiFi solution has attracted great attention in the industry.

At the Rockchip booth, the official RKi6000WiFi development board test platform was opened to the participants. According to the data, the power consumption of smart bulbs using RKi6000WiFi is about 75% lower than that of similar WiFi solutions. The power consumption when the light is on is only 0.08w/h, while the power consumption of ordinary WiFi smart bulbs is 0.2w/h. The power consumption of RKi6000 is only 1/4 of other WiFi smart bulb solutions.

The speakers equipped with RKi6000WiFi reduce power consumption by 65% ​​compared to ordinary WiFi solutions. The real-time current for playing HiFi music is only 23mA, while the current of ordinary WiFi speakers is 60mA.

Rockchip also announced the strategic plan of "RKi6000 Low Power WiFi Open Source Platform". Chen Feng, senior vice president of Rockchip, said: "We welcome IoT companies, teams and smart hardware makers from all over the world to jointly develop a new IoT ecosystem." It is reported that global developers only need to submit development projects to apply for RKi6000 development boards and development tools.

It took only half a year from the release of the world's lowest power consumption IOT WiFi solution i6000 to the mass production of terminals.
