ADI recently launched the LT8650S, LT8652S and LT8653S dual-channel 4A/8.5A/2A synchronous step-down Silent Switcher® converters for automotive, communications and solid-state drive power supplies ^. They use a proprietary Silent Switcher 2 architecture with spread spectrum modulation to ensure a stable and reliable PCB layout to achieve ultra-low EMI, making it easy to meet the CISPR25 standard.

LT8650S, LT8652S, and LT8653S have unique advantages because they can support stacked output configurations for high current applications. Outputs can be configured in parallel to increase or decrease output current while optimizing thermal performance as needed by the system. This also helps minimize inventory and shorten the quality verification time for individual devices. For example, LT8652S supports 8.5A DC per channel at the same time, or up to 12A for any channel. Synchronizing two LT8652S chips can achieve a 4-phase 34A power supply.
