Huawei HiSilicon sells chips to the outside world for the first time

According to the WeChat public account Huawei Kirin, Huawei's subsidiary Shanghai HiSilicon Technology Co., Ltd. recently announced the launch of the first Huawei HiSilicon LTE Cat4 platform Balong 711 to the Internet of Things industry. Since its release in 2014, this chip has carried a large number of shipping applications, supports LTE-FDD/LTE-TDD/WCDMA/GSM multi-mode standards, and provides high-speed and reliable network connection solutions for customers in the Internet of Things industry.

According to official introduction, the Balong 711 chip set includes three chips: baseband chip Hi2152, RF chip Hi6361, and power management chip Hi6559. The platform has been widely used in various industries, with a cumulative global shipment of about 100 million sets. Shanghai HiSilicon Balong 711 chip is one of the earliest 4G Modem chips developed and has completed certification by more than 100 mainstream operators worldwide.
Shanghai HiSilicon Balong 711 chip supports Open CPU, which reduces the difficulty of machine development, accelerates the time to market of machine products, and improves the competitiveness of customers' machine products. Currently, a variety of Open CPU solutions are launched, covering applications such as asset tracking, shared bicycles, and POS card swiping. At the same time, the module has rich hardware interfaces, supports Gigabit network cards, multi-channel UART, SDIO, PCM, PCIe and other interfaces, and can be flexibly applied to traditional and new fields such as industrial routing, Internet of Vehicles, new retail, and sharing economy.


Based on Shanghai HiSilicon's rich business chip platform, 4G Balong 711 can be used with video, TV, AI, WiFi and other chips, providing different solutions such as 4G+video/4G+AI/4G+TV/4G+WiFi to meet scenario requirements, providing customers with differentiated advantages and reducing overall costs.
