The series of devices adopts the CXP 2.0 standard and has the following features

  • New backwards compatible design
  • Integrated Clock Data Recovery (CDR) and camera-side clocking at all speed levels
  • In application scenarios, the transmission speed of cameras and capture cards is 4 to 8 times faster than other solutions, which can significantly improve machine vision processing throughput.
  • Can support four times the cable/link distance with lower power and near-zero latency.


The new product family also supports seamless locking of all frequencies from CXP-1 to CXP-12 at any speed, increasing design tolerance and flexibility, and supports 12.5 Gbps of bandwidth over a single cable, eliminating the need for multiple channels . A wider range of cabling options ensures the system can be installed where needed, and integrated CDR improves image stabilization of the signal sent from the camera to the capture card. The camera's low-frequency clock recovery feature eliminates the need for separate clock programming in the FPGA. Integrated link signal integrity testing enables the system to perform real-time checks of cable link integrity before and during operation.

In addition, at the scene coverage level, Microchip provides organized system solutions for reference to facilitate R&D personnel to quickly connect application scenarios.
