NXP launches next-generation JCOP Pay solution: payment card customization is flexible and secure!
News Headlines
JCOP ®️ Pay, running on NXP’s new JCOP 5 EMV ®️ , is highly customizable, allowing customers to flexibly adapt to changing needs while ensuring information security.
NXP Semiconductors has released JCOP Pay based on JCOP 5 EMV, which enables highly customized payment cards while enhancing card information security. Recently, JCOP Pay running on JCOP 5 EMV has successfully obtained EMVCo certification, which can help customers achieve a longer card issuance life cycle.
Card inventory management is challenging for payment card manufacturers, who need to be flexible to adapt to changing consumer demands in a highly competitive industry. JCOP Pay based on JCOP 5 EMV can be flexibly and securely reconfigured before issuing cards to end users, supporting changes to payment scheme applications and settings. As a result, customers can efficiently manage inventory, meet special multi-application requirements, obtain better customization solutions, and improve overall flexibility.
“The ability to customize and adapt is critical for card issuers. The new generation of JCOP Pay offers flexible and secure reconfiguration options, allowing customers to quickly adjust existing inventory to meet changing consumer demands, giving them the flexibility they need to succeed in a highly competitive industry.”

More technical details
JCOP Pay provides ready-made solutions for all major payment schemes, including the WLA standard of the White Label Alliance that supports the creation of payment schemes. JCOP Pay running on JCOP 5 EMV supports secure shared passwords. Consumers can use the same card and the same password for multiple payment schemes without compromising security.
JCOP Pay running on JCOP 5 EMV has now been certified by EMVCo ICCN, valid until 2030, and is backward compatible with the widely recognized JCOP Pay running on JCOP 4 EMV. It supports the Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) cryptography algorithm for next-generation EMV applications.
In addition, JCOP Pay is optimized for traditional wire bonding and inductive coupling, simplifying antenna tuning and improving card manufacturing yield.
JCOP Pay is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2024. For more information, please click here >>
