Jimmy Liao, a famous Taiwanese cartoonist, said: A person always looks up to and envies others' happiness, but when he turns around, he finds that he is being looked up to and envied. In fact, everyone is happy. It's just that your happiness is often in the eyes of others.

If you think about it carefully, I think it makes sense. In real life, we always consciously or unconsciously envy other people's lives. We are all struggling in the world, we are all secular people, and no one is much more noble than anyone else.

Men usually envy those who are more successful than themselves in their careers, women usually envy those who have happier families than themselves, old people usually envy other people's children for being promising, and children only compare with each other, envying other people's cars for going to and from school, envying other people's pocket money and New Year's money that they can't spend... When anger and imbalance are unbalanced, we are getting further and further away from happiness.

We always envy others' lives and ignore our own lives. We always feel that others are happier than we are. Because when we compare others' lives, we always look up and maximize our reference coefficient. We look up to those who at least look happier than us. If we trap ourselves in a dead end, raise our bottom line infinitely, force ourselves to submit, and bear unnecessary troubles, what is the meaning of life? Besides, do those who look happy really have no troubles and depression? Are they really worth our envy?

The answer to this question is of course no. Living in this world, no one's life is worth our envy. Everyone is an asteroid in the universe, with his or her own predetermined orbit and lifestyle. You cannot become someone else, and others cannot become you. Your life cannot be copied by others, and others' lives cannot be suitable for you. It is most realistic to live your own life well.

Those who are successful in their careers do not necessarily have no worries. They have to bear much more burdens and pressures than ordinary people. What you see is the phoenix's rebirth and flying posture, but what you don't see is the forbearance and suffering in the process of success, the dramatic ups and downs, which require a stronger psychological endurance.

Those women with happy families do not necessarily have no difficulties. They always appear glamorous and lively in front of others, but behind others' backs they can still get angry about this or that, have quarrels, and have worries. You envy her husband for making a lot of money, but she envies your husband for being considerate, capable, and able to cook.

Never compare your children with others. Everyone has their own circumstances in life and talents vary from person to person. You envy other people's children who go overseas to study and do great things, but other people envy your children who live right next to you, serving you soup and tea, showing filial piety and enjoying family happiness.

Never compare your parents with others. You envy other people's parents for their high positions and ability to make money, but they envy your parents for being kind, warm and generous. In this world, many things can be chosen, but what kind of parents you have is something you cannot choose.

Your happiness is often in the eyes of others. Through the light reflected in the eyes of others, you will see that what is reflected back in that light is your happiness.

Just as no two leaves in this world have the same texture, happiness is also different. No one's life will be repeated with others. While we look up to the happiness of others, others are also looking back at us with the same attitude. No one's life is worth envying. Living your own life well is the top priority.
