A commonly used diode balanced amplitude modulation circuit is shown in the figure. It
consists of two diodes with consistent performance and a center-tapped transformer T.
Diodes VD1 and VD2 are both 2AP9. The reference values of other component parameters
are shown in Figure 21-37. The function of the
diode balanced amplitude modulation circuit is to convert the low-frequency modulation signal and
the high-frequency carrier signal through the circuit into a high-frequency amplitude modulation signal for output. This
amplitude modulation circuit has a simple structure and few output harmonics. It is a commonly used amplitude modulation
circuit.
