This device requires an external crystal, which is cut according to the standard 3.579545MHz color TV "color sync signal" frequency. The output of the circuit is at two frequencies: 60Hz and 3.58MHz. The circuit can output the correct frequency with the help of a 5-50pF variable capacitor. This frequency can be monitored with a frequency meter or similar instrument.
