Recently, I heard someone brag that someone could solder BGA using a hot air gun and a heating station, which I found incredible. Especially for small BGA chips with 0.4mm pin spacing like emmc, which are very light, the wind from the hot air gun is relatively concentrated, and it is easy to blow the chip off. If you must solder, you should remove the nozzle and blow it vertically at a very low wind speed directly at the chip, but this operation also requires experience.
