MOS transistor driving voltage and current [Copy link]

MOS transistor driving voltage and current

MOS transistor driving voltage and current, we know that the driving voltage of the transistor only needs to be greater than 0.7V, so how much current does the base need? The required driving current value cannot be found in the transistor specification; driving MOS, as long as it is greater than Vth, how much gate current is needed? Therefore, there will be some enhanced driving circuits at the gate or base of the transistor, such as complementary push-pull, totem pole, pull-up, composite tube, gate driver, etc. In addition to considering the gate or base driving voltage, the base driving current must also be considered? Is the gate capacitance also a parameter to be considered?

The driving current of the transistor should be calculated based on the transistor's amplification factor and the collector current. MOS tubes also need driving current, mainly to charge and discharge the gate capacitance. The higher the frequency of the driving signal, the larger the driving current required. The larger the gate capacitance, the larger the driving current required.   Details Published on 2024-1-24 16:26

I suggest you review the working principles of MOS and BJT first.

Depending on what you want to do with it, the control current required is different.

Consider the gate capacitance unless you are using it for high frequency control.
