Infinite chip [Copy link]

Do chips have to be made small? 3 nanometers, 1 nanometer, or even 0.1 nanometer or smaller? On a whim, can we do the opposite? Make a number of chips, which we will temporarily call infinitely large, and equip each mobile phone signal base station with them, transmitting chip signals at the same time. Each mobile phone, car, and other terminal that needs a chip can receive the chip signal based on the principle of receiving it nearby to replace the chip. Isn't this equivalent to using the smallest chip?

Haha, I know nothing about chips, it just suddenly occurred to me and I just wanted to say it out loud.

I am talking about a chip that can replace the chips currently controlled by the United States, such as mobile phone chips, while you are talking about a special chip for a certain device. They are not the same thing.

Cloud phone?

Maybe it's a different understanding.

"Cloud phones are most likely to become 5G's 'killer' application. As a tool-type application, the early development of cloud phones mainly depends on user experience, and the later development mainly depends on infrastructure resources."

"A few nanometers" refers to the manufacturing process of integrated circuits, not the size of the chip. The original poster should first understand the basic concept, otherwise there is no point in talking about anything.

The chip depends on the benefits. In the past, some military chips were made by making low-tech chips into large chips. Or multiple chips, Intel Pentium 2 uses the method of splicing multiple chips.

There are hundreds of chips in a car. The OP is overthinking it.
